The movie is directed by Siva Koratala and featured Mahesh Babu, Kiara Advani, R. Sarathkumar and Devaraj as lead characters. Other popular actors who were roped in for Bharat Ennum Naan are Devaraj, Sithara, prakash raj and Rama Prabha. Interestingly, there were also plans to sell the remake rights of Bharat Ane Nenu so that it can be remade in Tamil with Kollywood superstar Thalapathy Vijay stepping into Mahesh Babu’s shoes. However, the makers didn’t get any takers considering the subject of the film.
Most filmmakers were skeptical since they didn’t want to get into any unnecessary controversy by making a film that comments on the state of politics and politicians. So DVV Entertainments took it upon themselves to not remake the film in Tamil but dub it instead and release in theatres.
